Digitary at JISC infoNet Bologna Study Visit
Jisc infoNet (www.jiscinfonet.ac.uk) will coordinate a project over the next year on building a Bologna infoKit. Project partners travelled for a two-day Study Visit at Dublin City University to kick-off the project. Digitary is delighted to have had the opportunity to participate at the event and to support Dublin City University in sponsoring the event.
The project will see the launch in Spring 2008 of an applied infoKit that will assist institutions in implementing individual Bologna actions plans. Project partners include several UK Universities, Cetis ( www.cetis.ac.uk), Eunis (www.eunis.org), The Higher Education Academy (www.heacademy.ac.uk), the UK Europe Unit (www.europeunit.ac.uk) and UCISA (www.ucisa.ac.uk). The Study Visit included presetations by three Irish Universities who spoke of their experience with Digitary and the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland (www.nqai.ie), who indicated that they are committed to supporting the implementation of the electronic European Diploma Supplement in Ireland. Digitary presented to highlight lessons learnt in implementing electronic European Diploma Supplement and on issues in ensuring maximum benefit from developments, including work needed to ensure interoperability with ePortfolios and web services.
