Digitary at UCISA conference in Southampton
Digitary presented at the Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association (www.ucisa.ac.uk) Corporate Information Systems Group annual conference in Southampton. The theme of the conference was "Opening up to our customers" and Digitary's presentation was on "The benefits of secure electronic documents to students and graduates now and in 2017."
Some of the benefits identified that exist now are: efficiency in receiving and sending documents, control of who sees their documents, the potential to send to multiple destinations, an audit trail of actions including who has authenticated documents and that tamper-evidence removes the temptation to distort reality, and therefore encourages students to concentrate their ingenuity on their studies. These benefits will be more pervasive in future when more documents are issued by more institutions, interoperability standards are more developed and links to documents are used more widely in online social networks.
