Digitary for 15 Irish Institutes of Technology

Digitary is to be deployed at all Irish Institutes of Technology following agreement with An Chéim, which derives its name from the Irish for "degree" or "step" and stands for "Collaborative Higher Education Information Management". An Chéim is responsible for the acquisition and management of central technology resources for the Institutes.

The system will be integrated with the Banner Student Information System and will be hosted by HP in Dublin under its hosting agreement with An Chéim for 14 institutes: Athlone IT; IT Blanchardstown; IT Carlow; Cork IT; Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology; Dundalk IT; Galway - Mayo IT; Letterkenny IT; Limerick IT; IT Sligo; IT Tallaght; IT Tralee; Tipperary Institute and Waterford IT. Implementation at Dublin Institute of Technology will be a separate deployment under the same agreement.

The agreement follows completion of a successful pilot at Letterkenny Institute of Technology, where the Irish National Template for the European Diploma Supplement was authored and which was also the first Irish Higher Education Institution to issue the European Diploma Supplement to all graduates.
