First Electronic Diploma Supplement

Digitary is confirmed as the first system to electronically issue the European Diploma Supplement. Digitary is used by University of Limerick to electronically issue degree certificates, Diploma Supplements and Official Transcripts to new graduates. This may be the first instance anywhere of official graduation documents being issued electronically and online and have been confirmed as the Diploma Supplement being issued in this way. The keys to issuing graduation online are to separate the authority to issue the document from the graduate’s right to define who should be able to see her documents, so meeting Data Protection requirements, and the ability to verify the authenticity of documents issued.
