Framework Solutions inputs to German Rectors Conference Specification

The German Rectors' Conference is the voluntary association of state and state-recognised universities and other higher education institutions in Germany. It currently has 261 member institutions at which around 98 per cent of all students in Germany are registered. It is highly involved with the Bologna Process in Germany.

Framework Solutions (later renamed as Digitary) was requested to assess the security considerations relating to a technical specification for the EGS (European Diploma Supplement Generation Service) that is being prepared for the Rectors Conference by the University of Koblenz Landau. The EGS is a web services approach to the generation of Diploma Supplements from distributed systems. Framework Solutions’ aim was to ensure the integrity of information in the European Diploma Supplement documents that will be produced through the service and to ensure that the senior officials of institutions will be able to confidently sign documents that contain data from distributed sources or from different ownership.

Digitary is a Framework Solutions’ system that is designed for the issuing and authentication online by universities and other higher education institutions of electronic official graduation documents.
