London School of Economics implements Digitary

Work has begun to implement Digitary at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Founded in 1895 and with a reputation for academic excellence, LSE will initially use Digitary to issue electronic official transcripts and European Diploma Supplements online.

Digitary documents are signed using Qualified Electronic Signatures making them legally valid and tamper evident. As of February 2009, some 32 current or former heads of state have studied or taught at LSE, however Digitary will not allow access to the documents of highly placed (or indeed any) alumni without their permission, as the system fully manages Data Protection related processes.
