Recruiters

As a recruiter, you may have received an electronic Document Share from an applicant as part of a recruitment process.

Document Shares
  • Document Shares are used by students and graduates to share official documents that they received from legitimate educational institutions in a secure online manner. A Document Share is a secure and unique URL that links back to an educational institution that uses the Digitary secure document system.
  • Document Shares are used by recruiters to validate documents by clicking on the secure URL, which should link back to Digitary server at a legitimate educational institution that uses Digitary. The validation result will be displayed on-screen.
  • A Document Share URL may be delivered to you in a number of ways. Most URLs are sent by secure email directly from the issuing institution. This is the most secure form of delivery to you. Alternatively, a link may be provided by an applicant in their CV or webpage. When relying on a URL in a Document Share, it is your responsibility to ensure that the URL matches the domain name of the educational institution from which the Document Share claims to come. If you are in any doubt, use our URL Checker facility
  • If required by the student/graduate who created the Document Share, you may have to follow a simple registration process on the Digitary system at the issuing institution in order to authenticate and access the document. This registration process enhances the data protection afforded to the student/graduate.
Digitary Documents:
  • Students and graduates cannot in any way control the content of Digitary documents, but they can control who can access their documents.
  • Documents created in a Digitary system are digitally signed by officials of the institution using Advanced Electronic Signatures. This means that documents cannot be fabricated or tampered with. These documents are considered legally valid under EU legislation.
