URL Checker

You may have received an electronic Document Share from an individual as part of a recruitment process or other document authentication process. A Document Share is a secure and unique URL (web address) that links back to an educational institution that uses the Digitary secure document system.

You can validate the document represented by the Document Share by clicking on the secure URL referenced in the Document Share, which should link back to Digitary server at a legitimate educational institution that uses Digitary. The validation result will be displayed on-screen.

When relying on a URL in a Document Share, it is your responsibility to ensure that the URL matches the domain name of the educational institution from which the Document Share claims to come. Please note that the URL Checker will validate a URL entered with any content following the top level domain reference.  For example the URL https://digidoc.ucd.ie/wallet/servlet/UserWalletApp/template/VerifyDAT.vm?datid=12345 will authenticate the first part of the URL (https://digidoc.ucd.ie) as genuine, but presenting a URL from an unknown server (for example: https://digidocs.myfakeuniveristy.com) will cause the validation to fail.
