Value, value and more value at Digitary User Group meeting

The Digitary User Group meeting for 2011 took place on 31 March and 1 April in Dublin Institute of Technology.

The meeting saw the launch of Digitary 2.5, which includes important new functionality, as institutions increase their usage of the system and the value that they gain from the system.

Projects are underway at a number of institutions to add new documents to be issued through the system.  Functionality to be released in Digitary 2.5 will increase opportunities for greater use and gaining even greater value.

For instance, institutions will now be able to issue existing PDF documents through the system, which could facilitate the issuing of older documents.

Another important addition is online payment integration that will make it possible for institutions to charge for documents within the Digitary system. This is similar to how University of Cambridge are charging graduates for access to the Digitary system.

An addition that is seen as particularly significant is the ability to define and manage documents that can be made available to parties that are related to the student.  Related parties might include host or home institutions of exchange students, sponsoring governments or employers or even tutors within the institution who can be given access to specific documents.

We are very enjoyed sharing these developments with customers and, more importantly, listening to how we can continue to improve the value that customer institutions and others can gain from the system.
